PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

FIexiTrak II is a portable dual-axis scanner intended for ultrasonic imaging of materials and components. It comprises an innovative scanning carriage, inspection arm with dual-gimbal transducer holder and flexible guide rail, designed for tracking sufaces of simple to complex curvature.
The light weight, vacuum magnetic mounted flexible rail can be fastened to the inspection surface of any inclination to the horizontal. A split-ring guide track replaces the flexible guide rail for 360° circumferential inspection of pipes and vessels.


FEATURES:

FIexiTrak II includes a universal transducer holder with replaceable wear shoe and coupling water inlet and return lines, which accomrnodates a large variety of single, multi-element, and multi-channel contact transducers. For those applications requiring controlled coupling water flow and water evacuation from the inspection surface, a water circulation system with a 16-liter water reservoir is available The motorized version includes on-board servomotors and is operated by a smc-2 Series dual-axis DC servo motion control unit with Scan Master software.
FIexiTrak II interfaces to the upi-50 ultrasonic instrument and Scan Master software B and C-scan imaging.


APPLICATIONS:

FlexiTrak II is an extremely efficient tool for a large variety of applications:
  • B- and C-scan mapping of of corrosion in pipes and pressure vessels.
  • C-scan imaging of delaminations in composite aircraft sections
  • TOFD detection and sizing of cracks in aircraft and aerospace structures.
  • C-scan inspection of longitutinal and butt welds in pipes and pressure vessels.
  • Cross-sectional imaging and TOFD defect sizing in welds
