ScanMaster Systems (IRT) Ltd. (formerly IRT)

manufactures quality instruments, transducers and turn-key nondestructive inspection systems for a wide range of industrial applications, using ultrasonic (UT) and eddy current (EC) technologies. The installed base of field-proven systems manufactured by ScanMaster includes machines for the inspection of the following parts:

  • Pipe welds and body (SAW and ERW)
  • Aircraft engine turbine forging parts.
  • Power generation turbine rotors and shafts
  • Steel, aluminum and titanium alloy plates, bars, tubes and pipes
  • Train wheels and train rails
  • Diesel engine pistons and pressure vessels.
  • Aircraft and aerospace structural elements manufactured from composite materials
  • Plastic pipes for the gas industry
  • Spot welds for the automotive industry
Each ScanMaster UT non-destructive testing system is supplied with a number of standard core modules, including industrial PC-based ultrasonic electronics, production-oriented software packages, and servo motion control hardware (for those applications requiring robotic manipulation). The core modules are supplied in application-specific configurations, which depend on the inspection requirements for speed, number of channels, on-line display and hardcopy report documentation. All ultrasonic instrumentation developed and manufactured by ScanMaster leaves the factory fully calibrated according to the most stringent industrial standards in force today.

ScanMaster manufactures a number of standard systems for specific UT and EC inspection requirements. These include LS-200 and DS-200i UT immersion systems for billet and aircraft engine forging inspection, DS-200 squirter scanners for inspection of aircraft structural elements manufactured from composite materials, AS-200 and AS-280 systems for bar, pipe and tube contact-type UT inspection. LS-200B systems for immersion testing of bars and tubes. AS-220 systems for train wheel inspection, AS-270 systems for full-body inspection of tubes, rods and pipes AS-290 systems for plate inspection, LFS-300 machines for the inspection of large-scale forging, SM-100 systems for retrofitting automatic testing machines with state-of the-art inspection capability, SFB-100 train rail inspection systems, and ECI-100 and ECR-100 EC systems for eddy current inspection of bolt holes and ball bearing raceway.

ScanMaster maintains in-house electronic and software groups and a mechanical engineering team for the design, manufacture and testing of machines tailor-made to meet special customer requirements, as well as for the modification of existing designs for new customer applications.

Quality takes priority at ScanMaster. Our systems are rated for safety and RFI/EMI interference and approved by major manufacturers for ultrasonic inspection. ScanMaster is committed to providing the best service possible and customer support in order to meet customer's needs in an effective prompt and supportive fashion. ScanMaster is ISO 9001 certified.

ScanMaster has installed a multitude of ultrasonic inspection systems with prime customers at different locations all over the world. Our major customers come from various industries such as: aerospace, automation, railroad, pipes and tubes, energy, forging, casting and ordnance.
