Diver Navigation, Tracking and Supervision:  

The DiveTracker is a SONAR based navigation and communication system. A mission coordinator receives diver position and status on the surface station. Clear communication between the surface team and divers is facilitated through the use of digital messages. The Diver Station displays 3D position data, dive status (such as remaining air supply), messages, and directions to designated waypoints.

Navigation is accomplished through SONAR triangulation techniques, supplemented with depth information from a pressure sensor on the Diver Station. This provides for position fixes with an accuracy of as good as +/- 0.15 m operating at ranges of up to 500 m.

DiveBase Main Screen

A DiveTracker System allows you to track and supervise multiple divers from a support platform (a ship, dock, undersea habitat, even an inflatable). The DiveBase software produces a graphic display of all diver positions. DiveBase also displays vital data about each diver such as depth and remaining air supply. The surface team can easily communicate with every diver in the water. Dive operations can be recorded for post-mission analysis, training, and accident investigation. DiveBase software runs on any IBM compatible computer running Windows 95, 3.1 or NT.

The DiveTracker Diver Station (DS-1) lets divers obtain 3D position information, determine range and bearing to waypoints, communicate with other divers and the support vessel, record observations, and monitor air supply and bottom time. The Diver Station provides the diver with multiple instrumentation capabilities in a single box.

This multi-purpose system offers an economic solution for diver navigation, communication and mission supervision requirements. The system consits of one DS-1 diver station and one STM-1 suface tracking station. You may add more diver station or improve the accuracy of navigation through the use of RBS-1 or RBS-2 baseline stations.
