Product Overview High quality components demand high quality inspection standards. Computed Tomography (CT) is a technique by which single slices or a full 3D representation of the object can be viewed. In contrast to conventional radioscopy, Computerized Tomography provides nondestructive 2D or even 3D views of internal structures or defects without confusing image overlaps. Computerized tomography gives you the power to locate and define internal defects in components to new levels of precision. With TOMOHAWK, these high technology systems are cost effective for many industrial applications. Applications of CT
Components & Operation The complete TOMOHAWK package consists of CT software, preloaded onto a customized PC system, a precision turntable, and controller, and a high resolution monitor. Upgrade to CT TOMOHAWK is available as a complete customized computed tomography and real-time radiography system. Or use the upgrade package to enhance your existing real-time radiography equipment with CT. Any real-time radiography system with standard video output is suitable. Software The software is user friendly with a standard Windows interface. It includes data acquisition, tomographic reconstruction and image display. All operational details of the inspection are recorded automatically and superimposed on the final image. Using TOMOHAWK, you can carry out advanced image processing, including frame averaging, edge and contrast enhancement, together with options for image analysis. Power with Flexibility TOMOHAWK CT can be used with a huge variety of X-ray sources and detectors. Benefits of the flexibility are:

For 3D CT An additional package enables you to collect data over a 360 degree scan and display the object as a 3D CT image. The dedicated 3D visualization software allows the 3D dataset to be viewed interactively. Displays of cross sections at orthogonal or oblique angles are possible, providing detailed information on the internal structure of complex components. This is an example of a 3D data set which was collected during a single 360 degree rotation of an aluminum casting. |
