Testing of Ampoules

Field of Application

The device is used for the on-line test of pharmaceutical ampoules.

Structure and Measuring Principle

The device is made up of the following components:

• testing station for the ampoules shape, comprising three matrix cameras
• testing station for colour break and OPC, comprising a line camera
• handling equipment image processing computer

At the shape testing station the ampoule is lifted from the conveyor chain and presented in front of the three matrix cameras. At the colour break/OPC-testing station it is rotated in front of a line camera. The images are evaluated in the image processing computer on the base of special algorithms according to the test plans.

Operation

Operation and adjustment are simple due to the convenient operator interface and the managing of test planes, which include all the standard types of ampoules.

  Accuracy: 0.03 mm
