SBR 1260 Bat Counter

This counter unit accepts an audio signal, usually from the bat receiver and increments a counter each time a discrete 'sound burst' is detected.

The counter unit will be connected to the bat receiver's 'tape output' socket. When a bat calls in the tuning range currently set on the bat receiver, at a strength or intensity greater than the threshold setting on the counter unit, then the counter will increment its display counter.

The counter in turn can be connected to a logger which will record bat activity in user set periods, together with other environmental parameters such as light level, temperature etc., as may be considered relevant.
