In-line Calculation of your IM Transducers focal distance and lateral resolution

Semi standard transducers adapted to your projects

In order to meet your requirements for immersed transducers offering the best conditions of performance, delivery time and price, IMASONIC has developed the IM series.

These transducers, available within 1 to 4 weeks according to the model, provide all the performance features offered by the IMASONIC piezocomposite technology

The semi-standardization of the IM series transducers also enables us to make the performances of this technology available to affordable prices.

Performance features of the piezocomposite technology

IMASONIC piezocomposite technology gives IM transducers a sensitiviy/bandwidth compromise unmatched over a very large frequency range.

The sensitivity presents a gain of +10 to +20 dB in comparison with conventional transducers, allowing a proportionale increase in the signal/noiseelectronical ratio.

A bandwidth higher than 60% adaptable to the needs of your application, and direct focusing through shaping of the active part also gives these transducers a high detection resolution.

Applications

IM serie piezocomposite transducers are designed to work in immersion. Thanks to the coupling homogeneity it provides, this technology allows great mastery of the ultrasound beam and is proved to be flexible during scanning.

The applications are numerous, among them the detection of defects, or many types of measurements (thickness, profile...)

The transducers of the IM series are also suitable for the inspection of parts having various geometries and composition :
