DiveTracker Sport is a two part system that is as easy to use as it is effective. The transmitter, which is placed on the anchor line, a dive buddy, or any underwater position you wish to return to, emits SONAR pulses. The compact, diver operated receiver picks up those pulses. Just point it around until the LEDstrip signal strength indicator peaks' and you've found the direction to home'. The scale above the indicator tells you how far you are from home.

Professional Quality And Superior Technology

Underwater sonar navigation systems face many pitfalls. Echoes can lead you in wrong directions and noise obscures the signals. That is why we equipped DiveTracker Sport with some of the same technology found in our DT1 system - the worlds most advanced navigation and survey system for professional divers. A precision quartz oscillator keeps the transmit frequency rock solid. The receiver's high quality active filter cuts through the noise. Then there is our proprietary LEDstrip signal strength indicator. It shows the direction as well as the distance of the transmitter. And it lets you tell the real direction from false ones caused by echoes. All this translates to a range of 2000 feet and solid performance even in noisy harbors, echo-rich shallow dive sites and other challenging environments.

Of course, we didn't skimp on the mechanics either. The housings of both the transmitter and the receiver are precision machined out of solid blocks of high-strength PVC plastic. There is no gluing and there are no welds to fail. Like all Desert Star Systems products, you can take your DiveTracker to depths of 1000 feet without any problems.
